As promised, given that I am not about to waste a quality visual that captures the essence and flavor of the first book – The Wise Ass – I started posting its Proof of Concept video on social media yesterday afternoon.
After all, TJ of Lumetrio Studios killed it.
However, I really am a luddite when it comes to social media, so my roll out plan was basically post the video on FB, TT, IG, Linkedin and X and hope people clicked on it.
Now X and LI were a relative bomb. Maybe 10 people clicked on it. IG as well, but again, the problem is that I rarely post on those sites, and have not yet developed any fluency in using them to their full potential. So, its more like the experience of tossing a message in a bottle into the ocean and hoping that it lands on some foreign beach in front of a curious beachcomber.
FB was more successful, but nothing earthshaking or beyond my existing reach of friends and some readers of TCS.

It may have gotten before some new viewers because it also went out on the Lumetrio Studios social media. Thank you TJ.
Now luckily, this summer I had struck lightening on TT with a video post about a giant phallic crystal I came across in NoCo, that for some reason reached 462K views.

And there are a handful of other exceptions where my videos have crossed the 1k viewer mark. Some even surpassed 5K.
So I was pleased to see that yesterday’s TT views of the TWA trailer had crossed the 6600 view mark when I peaked at it this morning.
Hopefully, with Friday leading us into the first post Labor Day weekend, more people will be checking their social media and clicking on the TWA trailer. With any luck, they will also share that trailer with their friends, family and colleagues. It would be nice to see a ROI with a spike in book sales.
Bread on the water.
Maybe I’ll get lucky and some film industry wunderkind will come across the video and recognize its Theatrical and Cable Series potential.
That would be a blessing.
I’m also considering moving forward with creating videos for all 5 books, but I’m going to watch and gage the response to this first one over the weekend.
Either way, this has been great. I really enjoyed watching another’s visualization of the characters come to life on the screen, if only for two minutes.
That, for me, is all the Proof of Concept I need that The Claire Saga is a viable basis for a blockbuster film series. And that Claire can lead Jimmy, Gina and the rest of her motley misfit crew to the big screen.
But, I really do need the help of my fine, five readers in spreading the word and sharing the video on any and all social media accounts that they can. Word of mouth has always been my creative salvation. Hearing someone recommending my work with passion has really moved the needle.
Otherwise the video is just a tree falling in the woods. Soundless.
However, today is Friday for us all, and that means magical things happen.
Fingers crossed that TWA video crosses the right path of the right people.
So, while that is percolating with the Universe, let’s all get out there and make today a great one.
