Wild Fires Suck

The above photo is of Greenwood Lake, in Orange County New York.

Close to the area my youngest, his wife, pups and in-laws call home. So far, they are all safe.

This is the largest wild fire to hit NYS since 2008.

The 5000 acres of fire are shared equally along the border between NY and NJ.

The NYS Governor is providing all needed resources.

Prayers for rain and fingers crossed.

Prayers for all the humans and other creatures, domestic and wild, impacted.

I pray its no where near Oliver the Owl.

Wild fires suck.

People, be careful playing with fire. Especially outdoors. It is feral by nature, always looking to escape, and quite unforgiving once free.

Okay, this news will probably distract me until the fire is contained, so I’m going to wrap this up.

Going to cuddle my kitties and make my rounds.

You fine, five readers stay safe.

And no matter what else we do, let’s make today a great one.

  1. Too Frightening. Fires in Vanny near The Stables among other areas. And Inwood Hill is also too near. The smell of smoke is everywhere. Compared to your horrible experience with cars packed to go, this is hopefully done. Pray for Rain.
