The Wise Novelist

Try Something New.

Because of the unusually cold weather we had this winter, I didn’t get Jeter sheared the way I normally do every 12 weeks. He’s old and needed to remain warm when he hobbled out to survey the property about 10 times a day.

Well the other day I was looking for an industrial strength beard trimmer – mine always die within a month of use – and I came across one I can use on Jeter. It’s like sheep level power. Perfect.

So, today I’m going to shear him. Get him ready for Spring. I’ve watched a few videos on YouTube – the way I learn anything these days – so wish me luck. I will post the results tomorrow. Or I won’t, because he will have chewed off my fingers.

Got all of my outdoor work and veggie/fruit prep done yesterday. I tried to get my wife’s Acura to start. Her batter died during the recent deep freeze and I’ve tried various ways to jump her battery -which is made more difficult from her car being face in in the garage. Still working that problem out.

I made inroads on a book I want to review. I’m trying to get through my To Be Read Stack before I start on the sequel. I have about 4 more books after this one – whcih is a wonderful pirate book. Once I start with the writing I cannot read anyone else.

I was exhausted when I hit the sack.

Glad I’ll get an early start on today.

So I better get to it. Wish me luck with Jeter.

This ought to be interesting.

Well first I need to cuddle my kitty, do my rounds and then face the dreadmill.

No rest for the wicked – even on God’s day.

I’m trying to figure out how to show some videos I have of Claire dancing in my doorway, but I don’t want to infringe any music artists copyrights. Although I have a great fair use argument – there can be nothing more transformative than having music inspire a Magic Mule to dance. Definitely a parody.

We’ll see about that.

Anyway, must flee.

You fine, five readers try to get some rest.

But most of all, make today a great one.
