Nothing warms the soul on a cold day better than finding that all five books of The Claire Saga were again grouped together in the top 100 Best Sellers in Humorous Science Fiction.
and last but not least, and the biggest surprise given that it is still three months out from its publishing date,
Now having all five books of a series on the one list is as fleeting as it is thrilling. Amazon lists are mercurial and unpredictable. An hour from now they could all be gone from the top 100. What this moment reflects is that during this enforced reading time during this polar vortex, that readers happen to favor a bit of escapist sci-fi/fantasy built around topical issues with a strong flavor of reality. In other words, the books suggest “Yeah, it could happen to you!”
And speaking of plausible possibilities, here’s a synchronicity. Yesterday, a report randomly appeared on TikTok announcing that the James Webb Telescope out in space had picked up “manufactured light” on the goldilocks world Proxima b.
Now all of you fine, five readers who have read The Claire Saga will know of this one of our important intragalactic earth-like neighbors and the central characters in the books that reside there. And it seems that, just like Hotel 6, they left the light on. Anyone up for a visit? Just saying.

Although I do not anticipate being on Janey’s Express (I’ve left behind my pioneering adventurous spirit in my last decade) I do believe you are looking for that first class ticket on the first available flight.
