Okay, this has been a stress filled week, no matter who you supported or opposed in Tuesday’s election.
The talking political news-heads will have plenty of fodder for their post mortem analysis of their own poor prognostication. Mostly because they couldn’t pour piss out of a boot if the directions were written on the heel. Don’t listen to them. The sky is not falling. The world is not ending. The Republic continues.
Instead, it’s time we the people all get back to and move forward with our respective and collective lives.
Speaking of lives. . .
With another Scorpio life anniversary rapidly approaching I’m sensing the inevitable fragility of my mortality, which is a good thing, because it’s triggering the urgency to write again. At least one more . . . .
Hopefully many.
But that will mean a temporary hiatus from this blog.
Let’s see what happens. I’m not quite there yet.
I just read a draft novel written by a highschool friend – Dr. Lenworth Johnson. Always impressed by another’s creativity. Len’s novel is a unique, well written thriller that is conceptually fully developed. Complex characters and topical/historical political, racial, economic and social storylines all tied together nicely. Well done Len. Good luck.
You fine, five readers, keep an eye out for Lenworth Johnson.
Probably what triggered my own urge to write the next one. Pavlovian.
But Thank God it’s Friday! (TCIF and TUIF just don’t carry the same short-handed excitement).
You fine, five readers finish your cuppas and slip into work early so you can wrap up your week’s contribution to our common industry. Then head out the side door as soon as the powers that be are distracted by exploiting your brilliant work product. You’ve earned it.
Use the weekend to recalibrate your center. Do a little grounding. Self care.
Me, I’m going to cuddle the kitties wherever I find them and then make my rounds.
However, no matter what else we get up to, let us make today a great one.

Glad you might feel like writing again 🙂
