Yesterday was the apex of the Strawberry Moon. This is what it looked like at 2 am.

Now, before we got to seeing that moon, my sister – yes the basis for Bonnie in The Claire Saga – arrived at Casa Claire.

Ferrying, in pure Fairy Godmother style, after a day of shopping, the three urchins who help populate The Claire Saga with three other interesting characters with which they share names – Scarlett, Savanna and Stella.

And after a sumptuous feast picked up from a local burger joint – yes they are carnivores – they all had a great time playing with their new toys etc., and patrolling the property with Bandit and Smokey, before the two older girls joined me outside to light Strawberry Moon candles.

which were still burning brightly in the early morning while the Strawberry Moon passed over their sleeping heads.

While it was fun to survive the invading horde, it was also a lot of fun catching up with my older sister after the urchins finally fell asleep, without siblings or spouses to distract us, lounging in comfortable chairs in a darkened living room, just shooting the shit, the way we did 60 years ago in a house on Mosholu Avenue. We covered a lot of ground. Life is good.
Anyway, today is more fun as we have to feed and ferry the two oldest to camp before dropping off the toughest terror, Stella, back at her home a little later in the morning. First we lock her up Hannibal Lecter style.
But I have chores to see to before I awaken my sister and grans, so I need to get a move on.
I hope you got a chance to get a little full moon grounding in last night.
I also hope your Thursday is warm weather and sunshine.
And no matter what this day brings us, let us make it a great one.

I’m so happy that your sister was able to come and visit. There’s nothing like one ön one time with a sibling. No matter how much time has passed, or how often you actually get to spend time together, those one on one conversations are a precious gift. Sitting and sharing years of memories while creating new ones with a sibling to me is one of God’s priceless gifts.
I can only imagine how excited Bonnie and the girls were getting to be together and share good times visiting Dude and experiencing Casa Claire. Enjoy the rest of your visit.
Hopefully all goes well with Lisa’s flight today🤞🙏
Siblings that we actually enjoy being around are truly a gift. Enjoy your remaining time visiting her with the bonus of having the grands around as well.
