I never kill spiders. First off, I won’t kill anything that is not directly threatening my life. Secondly, we get a lot of flies this time of year that annoy the hell out of Claire and Honey. When they come through our many open doors at Casa Claire, they piss off Lisa as well. So she has taken to hanging bags that trap the buggers. I won’t kill flies either, but if the spiders (or Lisa) get them, then that’s on them. The natural order of things.
Spiders are associated with magic and witches. I’m a big fan of both. Been known to dabble.
They are also associated with wealth and good luck, as represented in the rhyme, “If you want to live and thrive, let the spider run alive”.

And of course, who can forget the wonderful Charlotte.
I’ve always been impressed by a properly exercised vocabulary.
So, when I spotted this little fellow dropping down in front of my computer screen this morning, and then pulling himself back up to the ceiling I wished him the best, and reminded myself how very lucky I’ve been.
For example, Claire and Honey’s new barn project continues to progress. Most of the furniture that is going with Luke and Georgie has been moved to the garage and what little is left will be assimilated into the house before the end of the month.
And I have taken all of the toxic chemicals and old paint cans off to be disposed of properly at the county landfill. I really hated having that stuff lying around but had to do some research before I could get rid of it. Now I just have to frame the sleeping stall area on the floor just high enough – using 6×6 wooden beams – to contain the rubber matting and wood shavings and then move in the fridge (for food prep), trough, hay racks and hang the heaters and I should be done. It all has to be ready by the fall. Then I’ll have to talk Claire and Honey into abandoning the small original barn – which will be used for hay and other storage. Stay tuned.
Hope my spider brings me luck.
But now Wednesday awaits, so you fine, five readers better get your skates on and attack the hump.
Take care of any major business that requires your attention.
Friday, with all of its promises, will be waiting for its waive from the apex.
I’m going to head out and cuddle some kitties then make my rounds.
And no matter what else requires our attention, let us make today a great one.
PS. Wishing Joe Serrano lots of luck as he engages in some leg surgery.

Get some substantial footwear on those Frodos before you start humping furniture and refrigerators etc. Trust me on this one, Wizard!😉
