“Hey there, Delilah. . . .”

Last night, our darling DIL Sara (née Moran – yes, Jimmy Moran is her father) and our youngest son, Mark, both proud members of the NYPD blue family, increased their nuclear number by one by welcoming their gorgeous daughter, Delilah James (“DJ”) into the McCaffrey Clan.

Mother and daughter are healthy and settling into their new family dynamic, as is the ecstatic father/husband. They are the last branch in our direct tree line to bear fruit, raising the grans total to four girls and one boy.

Needless to say, we are thrilled.

Luckily, the parents recently decided on her name shortly after I completed the draft of Spark of Faith, so I was able to go back into an early part of the draft and give a female ambulance driver the “DJ” moniker, thereby squeezing our newest gran into the work as a character so she can live eternally with all of her cousins in the expanding McCaffrey literary universe.

And given the White-T song introduction to her name, I’ll also include the Delilah responsive version, because McCaffrey women always have their own side of a story to tell–so we better be listening!

So, congratulations Mark and Sara for a job well done. You have brought great joy to the family. We love you all.
