Animals get it. It’s a tough world out there, so you should look out for each other. Whether it’s at night,
Or in the daytime,
And they also naturally understand that if you have a little extra, why not pay it forward to someone else who could benefit from it.
I’ve learned a lot from my fur family.
Having another’s six doesn’t have to be much and it doesn’t have to be forever. Offering a momentary bit of sustenance,
or a safe place to rest,
or maybe just a protective cuddle to another who needs it,
especially when you think no one else is looking, can make all the difference in another creature’s life.
Often it is the smallest gestures that go the farthest. And every little bit does help.
Just worry about that moment of action, you cannot solve every problem or save every soul. And you cannot change what the future may hold for another. But if you can bring some happiness to one creature – human or otherwise – and for that one moment have their six, that’s a start.
So, as you fine, five readers finish your coffee, pull your socks up, and set out on this magical Friday to plan your equally fun and magical weekend ahead on your employer’s dime, see if you can make one of those little gestures when you see another who could maybe use a helping hand, a little sustenance, or even a kind word . . . like those poor blue face bastards that had Kentucky in their bracketology final.
For me, I’m rooting for NCSU.
Anyway, I’m going to go out now and make a few tiny gestures of some kitty cuddling and my rounds.
But no matter what else we may get up to, let’s make today a great one.
