Congrats Grayson Tatum Sacca and Your Folks!

Now yesterday was an interesting day.

It started out very foggy.

It took me a moment to find the mules.

But yesterday quickly turned auspicious, when my nephew, Tyler, and his significant other, the lovely and sweet Elizabeth Monaghan, gave birth to their beautiful baby boy, Grayson Tatum Sacca.

Tyler is the only son of Lisa’s sister, Michelle, and her husband, Terry Sacca.

They are all residents of the Florida Panhandle.

Michelle passed a few years ago, when a lifetime of Diabetes finally took its toll.

Michelle was an angel. Never grumbled. Fought to the end. Loved her son Tyler more than life.

I see Michelle in Tyler’s smiling face.

Mothers and sons, I see Elizabeth in Grayson’s face.

I know how happy my BIL Terry is to join the ranks of Grandads. He will be awesome at the role. Congrats Terry.

With all the many troubles in the world, this is a moment to be thankful.

Celebrate life.

When I had heard from Tyler late Tuesday night that Elizabeth was in early labor, I, of course lit one of my intention candles for the child.

Lisa, realizing that I may not be the right one to be asking favors from the Almighty, and to cover all possibilities, went retro, and got the Catholic Church involved.

Still, I said a prayer to all of those family and friends on the other side of the veil – that is really thin around this time of year – to assist in any way they can. All hands on deck.

I knew that Tyler’s mom, Michelle, would never let anything happen to that child. She was a Saint on this energy level. Can’t imagine the rank she must hold in Heaven.

But, belt and suspenders, I also called upon my own mother, Veronica “Vera” McCaffrey (née Burke), who is the only one in my direct line whom I can guaranty made it past the Pearly Gates on the first vote, to keep an eye on things as well. Mom loves babies.

Then I drove Lisa to work.

As I pulled up to a stop sign on a desolate road leading back home, I glanced at the one car before me in the darkness and almost shit myself when I spotted this license plate.

Hand to God. Can’t make this shit up. (I’m guessing the “VW” means “Vera Watching”).

So, I knew my Mom was taking time away from ordering all of those Kindle copies of my books – electronic books can cross the veil – they are just energy – and I won’t ask where she got those credit card numbers – to offer whatever assistance she could. Thanks ma.

Mothers and sons.

Everyone was thrilled a few hours later to learn from the extremely proud and relieved young father that Grayson Tatum Sacca made his appearance with the appropriate bellowing roar upon his arrival. Healthy lungs indeed.

That is really no surprise, given that this young man’s great-grandfather, Jimmy Sacca, was the lead singer in the group The Hilltoppers, who had a top 10 Billboard hit and once performed on Ed Sullivan:

Welcome young man to your very large and extended family on both maternal and paternal sides. You are loved. Oh, and let me be the first to welcome you into the Scorpio League.

Congrats to the young parents. You are all in for a magnificent adventure. The Sacca line continues. Enjoy one and all.

Speaking of adventures, mine must continue on a more mundane level as my Thursday workday awaits.

You fine, five readers get out there and take care of business today, so tomorrow is free for dreams and plans for the weekend.

But first, another cuppa, a kitty cuddle and then my rounds.

And whatever we do, let’s make today a great one.

  1. Wow, I just got a chill when I saw that license plate . Vera letting you know she’s on the job. Congratulations to all

  2. WOA! I had the same reaction as Theresa over the license plate photo. How the heck does your mom sneak messages out like that?! And I wonder if Joe will pass her outpost on one of his flights today?

    1. BC, don’t be wishing Joe to heaven just yet, lol. And you of all people know my Mom better than most. How many meals, and loads of laundry, were shared under our roof. She had a pretty direct line beyond the veil when she was with us. No surprise that she left that door unlocked when she crossed. When it comes to her family, Vera will move heaven and earth (and order Kindle).

  3. Those who go before us will find ways to let us know they are still near. We just have to be open to their presence. Congratulations on the birth of your nephew. So happy mother and baby are healthy and doing well.
