Anomalies

Hard to believe but the night sky over Casa Claire has gotten more and more interesting.

Over the past two nights, in an otherwise clear sky, soundless sheet lightning has danced on my eastern horizon. And the crickets, silent throughout the summer, have chosen these nights for their choral evensong.

Night 1, without commentary.

Night 2, with commentary.

And this early morning, when I went out for my usual tree hugging grounding, and to see if I could spot the promised planet parade, I snapped multiple shots of the crescent moon.

Now the first shot above is a little blurry but the second, a nanosecond later is much clearer. You can match up the blurred lights in the first shot to the sharper stars in second, with one exception.

In the first shot there is something larger about 2 o’clock from the moon.

In the second shot, that “something” is now at 12 o’clock above the moon.

Yeah, I know, it looks like a penis, lol. Of course it does, it’s signaling to Jimmy Moran that it has his number.

Just like the now infamous NoCo giant quartz.

Maybe it’s Petrichor is having a laugh.

Who said ET doesn’t have a sense of humor. Maybe RG is an alien.

But, seriously, if you go back to the first photo, you can see three blurry stars in a descending curve formation, the third ending right above to the left (front) of the anomaly.

In the second shot, there are those three matching stars, but now nothing where the anomaly was in the first shot. That anomaly has now moved to the left in the second shot, quite a distance through the sky in the nanosecond that passed between photos, and now appears in a spot – about 12 o’clock over the moon, that was clear in the first shot.

Or maybe I’m just losing it. Been hearing that for years. Can’t rule it out.

Either way, I’ll take my Universe as I find it, with all of the anomalies that have triggered my fertile imagination. But I do believe we are not alone, and my channeling of The Claire Saga is my way of sharing that belief with my readers. And what better way to expose my stories to humanity than phallically.

Well, the summer’s not over yet, there is still a fortnight of skies left for nocturnal observations.

There is still that much time left for you fine, five readers to get your Amazon Prime member friends to read The Wise Ass for free.

And maybe, if I’m really lucky, I’ll get to drive that anomaly the next time it flies by.

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

Well, the good news is that Mundane Monday is again behind us. Titillating Tuesday’s blog will hopefully set the proper tone for all of us.

And no matter what else we get up to, let us make today a great one.

But keep looking up. You may be pleasantly surprised by what you see.

  1. I think it looks like the pot of the Big Dipper is upside down over the top of the moon…. Like the pot is dumping out the moon.
And we see what we know…. I think your phallic symbol looks like a fat finger!😁
