Yesterday, our DIL Georgie needed to complete a CPR class as part of her teaching requirements, and her kids’ school was closed, so after I had my morning cuppa, and enjoyably chatted with Mary Ellen Bramwell at BRW about SOF, Lisa and I took the Grans to breakfast at the Village Inn in Loveland.

We hadn’t seen them since school began, which is one of those mixed blessings – absence make the heart grow fonder kind of thing. The youngest made that very clear with her facial tick.

And her artwork, which I believe captured my true essence.

Those little bastards!
The two older girls showed off their latest experiment in fake nails. How quickly they are growing up.

Anyway, we had a wonderful breakfast without managing to upset the other patrons, which is always a toss-up, so given that Georgie’s morning class ran until 1 pm, we decided to keep the children into the afternoon. The witchy nails gave me an idea.

To fill their time, we found something that would appeal to their sisterly witchy nature and took them to see Practical Magic 2:
Which provided them with a magical visual as to what their characters could look like should Hollywood ever get off its ass and produce a film version of The Claire Saga, given that the characters Scarlett and Savanna are witches and Stella is a bad ass ET.
They were enchanted. The movie was excellent.

Although I think Stella – the middle seat – was astrally projecting throughout the movie experience. At least she didn’t spill the popcorn.
So, after that was all done, we tied them up, gagged them, and then placed them on their front porch, rang the bell and drove away as quickly as we could.
A good time was had by all.
But as an interesting aside, I noticed that the black cat in the film looked awfully familiar.

And when I got home, while I was checking on my own feral cats,

I made the connection to my most recent Casa Claire feral familiar, Midnight, just around dinner time.

Which is a lesson to us all. Always keep your doors and pantries open to magical strangers. They often appear as a blessing in disguise.
Well, Tuesday has arrived, which means Monday is behind my fine, five readers that still man the workforce.
Get that last cuppa down the hatch and launch towards productivity and industry.
Do all the heavy lifting at work today, so you can begin to taper down the week when you attack its hump, tomorrow.
Friday will be back before you know it. The weekend beckons.
But no matter what else we get up to today, let us make it a great one.
