This line comes from another Shakespearian soliloquy – Hamlet’s “To be, or not to be . . . .” Hamlet, Act 3, Scene 1.
It was also the title of another brilliant Robin Williams movie, that contemplates the other side,
I miss RW’s genius. I love all of his films. It’s been over ten years. https://www.forbes.com/sites/marcberman1/2024/08/11/ten-years-laterremembering-robin-williams/
And while I spend a lot of time thinking, talking and writing about the magic of what lays beyond the veil, today’s blog is more focused on the magic that we create here for ourselves.
Towards that end, as you know I’ve been doing my best to get The Claire Saga from book to screen, and recently – yesterday – was approached out of the blue by a young talented creative who wants to do the trailers for my books.

I’ve really enjoyed what he’s done just on spec. He gets the books.
I’ve also like some of his work for other clients, especially how the animals are portrayed in the visuals.

He’s been very accommodating.
It seems he’s come along at just the right time, given that the two production companies that have already shown interest in shopping the film rights for The Claire Saga, First Look Studios and now Woodside, require that the writer provide them with what is called Proof of Concept trailers to show their investor pools – because no one wants to read anymore – to see if they want to bid on the project.
I have to tell you, I’ve told both companies to piss off, because if I am going to create the sales gimmick, I might as well try to sell it myself. Maybe that was a bit brash, but totally within my character.
So, I’m still thinking everything over, and will keep you posted with where I come out on it.
But in the meantime, I’m really liking the 90 second scripts that JT has created for all five books.
JT is a very talented young man.
If you have been following the blog or my FB page, you can hear the audio of the narrator for the first novel trailer.
Great voice, great pace.

And when you see some of his other trailers, like this one,
https://www.facebook.com/share/v/14Dezhj3fS4
you see how he can put cool visuals to great narration.
And he has provided me five awesome 90 second scripts for all five books, completely on spec.
That’s how you sell yourself.
So, I’ve got some thinking to do. I’ve have to see how I can best manifest the dreams I have for seeing Claire and her motley crew up on the big screen. That’s where she belongs. That is where she’ll be.
Let’s see what else the Universe provides for me to make that happen.
But whatever dreams may come for me on this side of the veil, the story continues.
My apologies, as this blog came a little late in the day. I was distracted dealing with this other fun stuff.
But, no matter what else has happened for my fine five readers during the wait, I hope you all make your days, great ones.
The fact that I’m even talking about five novels is proof positive that dreams happen.
Stay tuned.
