Walk Off Grand Slam!!!!

Okay, I hate seeing the Yankees lose even one game. Especially in the World Series.

But man, last night’s loss was an epic moment in baseball.

A tenth inning walk off grand slam by Freddie Freeman. You could not have scripted that ending.

Perfect Hollywood resolution.

The game itself was exactly what you expected and wanted, evenly matched between two great teams. GC Stanton impressed. Jazz Chisholm Jr. earned his name with exciting baserunning. Ohtani kept us holding our breath. After nine innings, a 2 to 2 tie. Then, after the Dodgers escaped their own reckoning at the top of the 10th, bam!

Shades of 1988 and Kurt Gibson. FF deservedly enters the Major League Baseball Pantheon.

Respect.

I hope LA has gotten that magic out of their system.

But I believe in my Yankees. Comeback starts tonight. Leave LA with only one home win, as spectacular as it was. The tinsel town boys shot their load, used up their three wishes.

I’ll be watching.

But first, I have lots to do. On top of the regular chores, I have a delivery of hay coming from Tom Connelly. Bale humping at its best.

I need to pick up wood shavings as well.

Better have that Aleve handy.

But before that, I need to cuddle some kitties and make my rounds.

You fine, five readers get those errands wrapped. Have some family and friends over to watch the game.

But, no matter what we all get up to, let us make today a great one.
