Now I’ve posted in the past how I met a man named Dr. Clarence Sitzman, DMV (Retired) at a county government building where we had both gone to protest onerous, tax-based property evaluations.
Doc C is a very interesting guy.
We hit it off.
Doc C then went on to read and enjoy The Claire Saga.
So one day, Doc C stopped by Casa Claire to meet the star.
And while here, Doc C captured a Claire hoof print. You see, Doc C has a Wall of Fame containing the prints of a number of the more exotic animals he has assisted over the years. That’s it above.
But Doc is a perfectionist, and he really wanted another shot at getting a better print from Claire, so he returned on the day that Claire and Honey were having their mani-pedis performed by their Farrier, Jason Bastemeyer. He knew the print would be clean.
And this time, Doc got exactly what he came for.
Now Claire fittingly shares the Wall of Fame with Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my,
given that TWA has been described as Goodfellas meets Wizard of Oz.
Now this may be far from a spot on Grauman’s Chinese Theatre’s Walk of Fame, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grauman%27s_Chinese_Theatre
But given that The Claire Saga is inevitably destined for the Big Screen, Claire will someday join the ranks of other Sci-Fi/Fantasy greats like Donald Duck (and his voice [another] Clarence Nash), Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Darth Vader, C-3P0, R2D2, and Optimus Prime. Tom Mix’s Tony The Wonder Horse will not be the only star with a real equine behind it.

After all, Leo The Lion made it, and he was only a mascot for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios.
Claire is a shoe in. Baby steps.
But for right now Claire is thrilled to make the cut on this remarkable wall among such illustrious other mammals.
So, thank you Dr. Clarence Sitzman DMV (Ret.) for becoming part of Claire’s Universe and for including her in yours.
Well, speaking of hooves, I better get a good foot on.
Thursday awaits.
Before I go I would like to mention that yesterday I met with another local Nextdoor reader, Nancy Walter, up at Loveland’s Einstein Bagels, where I got to inscribe her entire set of The Claire Saga. We then spent some time over coffee talking about the backstory to the books, their locale, and a little bit about my background. Nancy was absolutely charming but unfortunately I forgot to snap a selfie. Hopefully Nancy will snap one with her books that I may post in the future. Oddly enough, I for some inexplicable reason, dated the inscriptions 9/23/24. Well, one more unusual encounter in a very unusual series of books.
Well, my fine, five readers, time to wrap up your work week so that Friday is free and clear for fun and excitement.
I’m heading out to cuddle some kitties and make my rounds. And it’s recycling day. Must take care of Mother Earth, and her mystical doyenne, Mother Nature.
But no matter what else we get up to, remember, let us all make today a great one.

Yay Claire!
Tom, I was very surprised to read about our meeting yesterday in your blog. What a treat it was to meet you and discuss your books. I started reading this morning and can tell already that your books are just up my alley. It was delightful meeting you and will snap a selfie at some point and attach it if I can figure out how!
