Heaven

Now for something a little more spiritually contemplative.

Clouds can be mesmerizing.

There was this British painter named John Constable who was famous for his renditions of clouds. I get his fascination.

If you grew up a BIC, your earliest concept of Heaven was this celestial kingdom in the clouds. Last night, when I went down to give Claire and Honey their last feeding for the night – (how’s this for a couple of asses) –

I glanced out the back window of their barn and spotted this beautiful vision of what my BIC Heaven would look like on my final approach. I was compelled to race outside and snap a photo.

For there, just beyond that phosphorescent cloud bank lies the rainbow bridge, and Blue and all of the rest of my fur family.

I can feel Blue in the barn with Claire and Honey whenever I go there. She has already worked out the day-pass system in the afterlife. Still shows up as Claire’s Lady in Waiting.

Not sure how many of my passed friends (Irish exits all) and family got to land on the religiously business side of that BIC version of a cloudbank, but I am certain we all get to land in a perfect place at a higher vibrational level on the far side of the veil, energy transformed (Physics – Law of Conservation – thank you Emilie Chatelet https://sciencenotes.org/law-of-conservation-of-energy/), because if my Creator is as perfect as I’ve been led to believe, and I do believe IT is (has to be he+she=it, because as much as I have enjoyed being a “he” communing on all levels imaginable on this plane of existence with the “she,” IMHO, experience has taught me there is nothing perfect in either gender as a stand alone), IT is pure love and all knowing on just how imperfectly we all are in this earthly form, and will not judge us for any disappointments in outcome resulting from the missing ingredient they left out of the recipe. The Chef owns the meal.

Indeed, when it comes to the Creator assessing us at the end of the long day’s journey into night, we are perfected by our imperfections.

Did we do our best with what we had?

That’s all any parent can ask of their children.

As Claire so thoughtfully suggests in WTLLM, this is not a test, it’s a journey.

I know this will upset my more traditional BIC brethren. And I am not here to convert anyone to my belief system. Each journey is its own.

(If I turn out to be wrong, I have Pete Sheridan, devout BIC by way of Harvard Law, on retainer as my Daniel Webster. Insanity defense. Always have a backup plan – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Devil_and_Daniel_Webster)

But until my theory is put to its test, I will live in my moments, find expressions of love around me where I can,

show a little kindness to those that share this earthly plane,

and hope that when it is all said and done, I’ve left something of substance behind to be remembered by.

Oh yeah, and these too,

I warned you I am proudly imperfect in this form. Shameless vanity is a blessing and a curse.

Well, that’s all I got today, which, thank God, is Tuesday.

You fine, five readers pull your socks up and make that major inroad into your work week. Do all the heavy lifting now, so you can taper off towards the week’s end, and ditch Friday altogether.

I’m going to get out there and cuddle some kitties, then make my rounds. Then let’s see what the legal world has in store.

But before I go I would like to thank everyone for their expressions of kindness and heartfelt condolences over Blue’s passing. The McCaffreys of Casa Claire so appreciated the love. I am thrilled to see that you have all got to know and understand the magic of my fur family, which I freely offer to be part of your own, if only in your hearts and imaginations. We are all connected. Blessings are to be shared. I have been truly blessed by you.

And no matter what else we get up to today, let us make it a great one.
