But before you go rejecting the Law of Attraction as some silly, cultish idea, understand that that it is supported by the the science of quantum physics.
If you are just dipping your toe into this, I really like the simplified 4 rules set forth in this Forbes article.
- Clarity;
- Gratitude;
- Visualization; and
- Surrender.
In theory, we are all connected, and the Universe (a selfless, all loving and nonjudgmental God, if you like) created you in their image and imbued you with the power to achieve anything you want. After all, God does not want you to sit on your talents. Matthew 25:14–30.
So, you can’t just sit in the basement and hope your wishes will magically come to fruition. Get out there and chase those dreams, but be open to the signposts along the way.
You must set your goals, takes steps for pursuing them, and then watch for the synchronicities the Universe provides to allow your successful pursuit of those goal.
Now the fourth rule, surrender may be the toughest. You see, our human brain is somewhat limited when it comes to manifesting your desires. The unlimited Universe is much better at it. So, as any solid 12 step program will recommend, turn it over to the higher power.
But we all have an ego (Wayne Dyer’s suggested interpretation – “Edging God Out”), so we all think we know the best and only way how to get anything done. Personally, I don’t have a clue, but I do follow my own path, and walk through all the doors that the Universe opens, and it seems to be working.
I think Neville Goddard was on to something.
Which is why, just before I headed out west, my human BFF, Helen LaLousis (yep, the same from The Claire Saga – love you sweetie) treated me to any tattoo I desired. I chose the two words “I Am” for my inner left forearm which I found to be the one place on my body my eyes regularly are drawn to. I must look at it a thousand times a day. I am extremely careful with what words I place after that introductory incantation. My failsafe is “grateful,” although “blessed,” works in a pinch.
So, chase your dreams today and everyday. Wish upon a star and raise your energy. Think big. Then let the Universe guide you. And be grateful every day for whatever it is that you have. I am.
Just be careful that your goals don’t intentionally require the suffering of another. It’s all about raising yourself up, not tearing anyone else down. A rising tide floats all boats.
Treat today’s blog as one of those synchronicities that opens a door towards your path of evolution. Or not. That’s where your free will comes in.
Maybe today – this 8, 8, 8, Lionsgate Portal – really is your lucky day.
Now, my fine, five readers, get out there and get your work week wrapped, but since Friday (inherently magical) is almost upon us, let’s dream a little, or a lot.
Me? I know where my dreams have taken me. And I so appreciate what I have received. And quite honestly, there is nothing unique about me. The path is there for anyone to follow (and for those more steeped in religions from your childhood, please understand that I am not suggesting you turn your back on your faith. The LOA concept is not mutually exclusive from existing faiths. I’ll show up as BIC, when they check my celestial passport.)
I’m going to go out there now and show a little appreciation for everything in my life – dodging those wildfires comes to mind – by bringing some tasty goodies into the lives of some local creatures that I know. Who knows, maybe they manifested me.
Today, I’m going to dream even bigger. TCS joins the ranks of LOTR, HP, GOT, and CON.
