Getting Along Is Not That Hard

It seems that wasps and bees do not normally get along. Like the Irish and whoever else just pissed them off (at least my Clan). It appears that while they both do feed on nectar, wasps are known to attack bees and other insects, so bees are not fans.

However, I have noticed the other day that the wasps and bees that have been embracing the honey shared at the Jack The Spruce Grotto at Casa Claire have put their issues behind them, if only for a a while, and bellied up to the bar.

For example, here is a shot I snapped yesterday afternoon. If you expand it you will see that the bees and wasps are interspersed with each other and getting along just fine.

More importantly, neither group seemed to mind the almost human waiter who kept replenishing their dishes.

It was one big sweet fest. Maybe they were drunk on the potent East Cost honey we have been serving. As I served the dishes, I could hear them buzzing away in what may have been comradery. Maybe they were singing. None of them bothered with me. I was surprised on how calm I felt just listening to the buzzing.

I understand that happy bees emit a healing energy. https://exemplore.com/news/bees-lifespans

Whatever the reason for the armistice, I was happy that it occurred on my watch.

Just another wonderful mystery on the mystical grounds of Casa Claire.

This morning I have to drop off my fist tranche of books to the Berthoud Library. This may need to be a two part donation, given that they only accept six boxes at a time and I have more than that. Oh well, I have to get them out of the garage before Lisa trips over them.

Luke is a voracious reader. He is often reading more than one book at a time. I cannot do that. I am a serial reader. And when I’m writing I don’t read, period. I don’t want to be unintentionally influenced by something I may have in front of me. I also don’t want to look at someone else’s work and compare it to whatever I’m writing. I am almost done with the edits to WTLLM, so I have a couple of novels from some writers I know sitting in my TBR pile waiting for a review. Looking forward to getting to it.

Speaking of getting to it, I better do that.

First a kitty cuddle and my rounds.

Thank God it’s Tuesday. We got this.

Whatever else you do today, try to get along with whomever you bump into along the way. Pass the honey. https://jaxandcobees.com/

Or better yet, pass the mead. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mead

We are all just trying to make our way in this crazy world.

The extra-terrestrial biological life-forms can’t arrive soon enough.

But whatever else happens, let’s make today a great one.

Beam me up, Scotty. I’ll bring the mead.
