Closed out summer yesterday landing a wonderful review and cover blurb for my medical-mystical drama, SOF, by the writer Gary Gerlacher, a pediatric emergency physician–turned–best-selling-author renowned for the AJ Docker medical thriller series:

I was holding my breath waiting to see it, given how many medical terms, procedures and diseases are involved in the storylines, which frame the mystical aspect of the novel, but I’m pleased to report that I pulled it off.
Gary’s blurb, along with those from some of the other talented and wonderful authors who generously have already read and signed off on my seventh novel, will adorn the covers of SOF once it is completed.
I’ve decided to forgo the usual summary you find on most books and just go with writer’s blurbs because I think it worked well for Free R.A.D.I.C.A.L.

I have to wrap up the final word version of SOF and turn it into BRW on Friday. I just want to make sure I’ve nailed the acknowledgments.
Hopefully, the cover art will put a bow on it.
Ode To Autumn Poem by John Keats
Today, at 6:05 p.m.MDT Casa Claire and its inhabitants will be transiting the Autumn Equinox. It’s one of two points each year when, due to a shift in the earth’s tilt, the Sun is positioned directly above Earth’s equator, day and night are exactly equal, and our Northern Hemisphere enters astrological Autumn while my Aussie relations get to experience Spring.
Maybe I’ll balance an egg.

I’m a big fan of Autumn. The weather is a little cooler and I can start wearing my hoodie sweatshirts and jeans again.
I know the trees and other foliage change colors, although with my random form of colorblindness, I’m not certain we’re seeing the same thing. Still enjoyable – maybe even better than what the norms see – but life is just a matter of perspective.
And of course, my favorite holiday is hurtling towards us.

I’ll spend most of the evenings in September and all of October rewatching all the coolest Halloween-related films, including Practical Magic –
and I intend to go out to see Practical Magic 2 in October. Hopefully I can bring my granddaughters along.
Sandra Bullock would make an excellent Gina in a film version of The Claire Saga.
The Harry Potter films and the Twilight Saga are relatively stress free and fun.
