It’s been one hell of a year. Officially retired from my legal practice after four decades – there’s another story there, which I will share at some point. Truly Shakespearean, in a tragic sort of way. Finally went to a doctor for the first time this century and learned some interesting things. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
My wife proved how tough she is as well. Love that girl.
Got to watch 95% of the World Cup this summer. First time I had that opportunity. Loved it. Now back to watching the Premier League.
Wrote two new novels – ##6 & 7. Both with Claire’s blessing. She’s very protective of her literary legacy. She insisted I worked all of the other fur bearing creatures of Casa Claire into the latest one. Didn’t want to risk waiting on number 8.
Free R.A.D.I.C.A.L. is a legal thriller with a sci-fi theme which is finalized with the publisher and comes out in January 2027. That’s the final cover at the top of this post. All NYC grit and a lot of legal intrigue that I needed to work out of my system. A farewell to the Big Apple.
I just finished Spark of Faith, a spiritual-medical-mystical drama, which drops in May 2027. Haven’t done a cover yet. Will turn to it as soon as I’ve got the novel edits finalized. Put all of my recent immersive education in the medical field to good use. Also worked through a lifetime of religious and spiritual angst.
Dug out some old tape cassettes containing recordings of my sessions with the Lily Dale medium, John White, predicting back on July 6, 1990, that I wasn’t going to make it as a writer until I found the right subject matter – mystical/sci-fi/spiritual – for my stories. He also predicted that this forever Bronx Boy was going to move out west, near some tall mountains. Cue The Three Witches. Spooky indeed. Should have listened more carefully back then.
At some point I’m going to figure out how to upload the relevant parts of those recordings, because you just can’t make this shit up.
Glad the fall is finally here in NoCo. It’s been a long hot summer.
Samhain is just around the corner. Love this season. The Irish invented Halloween.
Well, this was just me dipping my toe back into the blogging water. Letting you fine five readers know that I am still alive and kicking.
With the two novels behind me, I hope to ramp up blog production to my previous daily level. It’s like getting back into the writer’s gym.
For those of my five readers that are still around, let’s try and get that coffee klatch started up again.
And no matter what else you may get up to, have a great day!
